STORAGE NETWORKING WORLD, ORLANDO, Fla.—Nov. 1, 2006—WysDM Software, Inc., a leading provider of innovative data protection management (DPM) solutions, today announced that it has signed an OEM agreement with COPAN Systems, the leading provider of intelligent, enterprise-class, enhanced MAID storage solutions. Under the terms of the agreement, COPAN will resell WysDM for Backups as a complementary component of its Persistent Data Storage Architecture (PDSA) solution.
COPAN’s PDSA solution specifically addresses the storage requirements of persistent data, or data that is retained long after it was first created. The addition of WysDM DPM technology will provide COPAN customers with a broad spectrum of historical and real-time data and analysis about the health and state of their enterprise storage environment, enabling them to identify performance bottlenecks or potential problems and optimize the storage infrastructure before a fatal error occurs. This allows enterprises to ensure the highest return on their storage hardware and software investments and derive maximum value from persistent data, which includes data that must be retained and accessed based on business requirements.
