WysDM for Fileservers utilizes the WysDM data protection management platform to obtain information from all NetApp filers and NearStores and provide a comprehensive set of reports on all aspects of fileserver operation, from hardware configuration to per-process performance for even the largest and most complex of fileserving environments.

WysDM for Fileservers standardizes fileservers by keeping detailed logs of key configuration parameters and tracking all changes. Users can also proactively compare fileserver configurations and flag differences, to guard against potential future failures and eliminate costly downtime. By balancing storage requirements with the capabilities of the fileserver, WysDM for Fileservers provides the highest levels of asset usage without compromising performance or reliability. Predictive analysis aids in capacity planning and allocation, while fileserver performance benefits from tracking metrics on each fileserver as well as the surrounding environment.
