WYSDM CTO JIM
McDONALD TO DISCUSS HOW TO MINIMIZE RECOVERY RISK WITH DATA PROTECTION
MANAGEMENT AT STORAGE EXPO
Leading DPM Provider Demonstrates Enhanced Data Protection
Management Platform and Delivers Business Strategy Seminar at Storage Expo 2007
NEW
YORK—October 10, 2007—WysDM Software, Inc., the leading provider of advanced
data protection management (DPM) solutions, announced today that it will
showcase a set of significant new features added to its WysDM for Backups™ and
WysDM for Fileservers™ products at Storage Expo 2007. The conference will be
held at the National Hall, Olympia, London on October 17 and 18, 2007. Additionally, WysDM's chief technology officer and
co-founder, Jim McDonald, has been invited to deliver a presentation titled Minimizing Your Recovery Risk with Data
Protection Management at one of the conference's business strategy tracks
on October 18, 1:15-1:45 p.m.
Data protection is focused on reducing the
risk of data becoming unavailable at some point in the future, however there
are a number of areas where traditional data protection fails to meet business
requirements. McDonald's presentation will provide a three-step strategy for
ensuring that data is protected to meet both internal and external risk
management requirements, and allow businesses to attain and maintain a minimal
risk profile.
"We look forward to demonstrating our data
protection management solutions at the foremost storage-focused event in the
EMEA region," said Jim McDonald, CTO, WysDM. "The rapidly increasing demand
we're seeing for WysDM's solutions, combined with an expanding channel of
global distribution partners, demonstrates that DPM technology is gaining
traction all over the world. It is clear that companies are looking for
intelligent solutions such as WysDM's that will enable them to excel at
compliance and risk mitigation while reducing their workload and minimizing
their security concerns."
During the show exhibits, WysDM will
demonstrate the new features recently added to the WysDM platform at stand
#120. Throughout the platform, the company has added significant advances in
compliance and risk mitigation, security, and capacity planning to provide
businesses with a full picture of their data protection risk while reducing the
time to provision storage and enhancing overall storage utilization.
